Conta Lá elects management commission to lead restructuring

The media outlet Conta Lá has elected a new Management Commission to oversee a restructuring process aimed at addressing significant financial instability. The commission, composed of Rui Rego, Diogo Alexandre, and Paulo Rego, is set to take office this Monday with a mandate lasting until December.

The restructuring plan focuses on a planned capital increase of up to five million euros to manage a debt estimated at approximately four million euros. Key creditors include the Tax Authority, Social Security, and Ibertelco, the signal distributor. The new management has identified four immediate priorities: cost reduction, payment of overdue salaries—which are currently three months in arrears—settling critical debts to the state and suppliers, and developing debt management plans.

During the general assembly, shareholders approved the total conversion of invested capital into social capital. The management commission will prepare the company for a long-term Executive Commission that reflects the new shareholder composition.
