The first fatality was a 62‑year‑old man in Southport; a second death was reported this week, although details remain undisclosed. Merseyside Police have arrested two individuals on suspicion of manslaughter, and local health agencies are urging users to avoid mixing substances, not use alone, and carry naloxone.
