CONVEGA organizes guided walks along the GR-92 Mediterranean Trail

The Vega Baja Economic Development Consortium (CONVEGA) has organized two guided walking tours along the GR-92 Mediterranean Trail. These routes aim to showcase the natural, historical, and cultural heritage of the region, which was recently recognized by the Valencian Mountain and Climbing Sports Federation (FEMECV) as the Best Approved Trail in the Valencian Community for 2025.

The first tour is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, covering approximately 15 kilometers between Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja. The route is divided into two segments: a 10.43-kilometer walk through Guardamar—passing sites such as Els Tossals beach, the Segura River mouth, San Antoni mill, and Guardamar Castle—and a 5-kilometer coastal walk through Torrevieja, including the La Mata-Torrevieja Natural Park.

A second guided route is planned for November 8, traversing the coastline through Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa, and Pilar de la Horadada. The October event is free for up to 100 participants and includes professional guides, refreshments, insurance, and organized transport between the route segments.
