CONVEGA guided walks on GR-92 Mediterranean Trail

Overview

The Consortium for the Economic Development of the Vega Baja (CONVEGA) has organized two guided walking tours along the GR-92 Mediterranean Trail to promote the region’s natural, historical, and cultural heritage. The trail was recently recognized by the Valencian Mountain and Climbing Sports Federation (FEMECV) as the ‘Best Approved Trail of 2025’ for the Valencian Community.

The first excursion is scheduled for October 4, covering a 15-kilometer route between Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja. This route includes sites such as Els Tossals beach, the mouth of the Segura River, the San Antoni watermill, and Guardamar Castle, as well as the La Mata-Torrevieja Natural Park. The event is free for up to 100 participants and provides professional guides, refreshments, insurance, and organized transport.

A second guided walk is planned for November 8, which will traverse the coastline through Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa, and Pilar de la Horadada.
