Coolpad launches Cool X Wide smartphone in China

Coolpad has introduced the Cool X Wide, an entry-level smartphone featuring a 6.38-inch LCD screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is designed with a wider body, similar to a mini-tablet, to provide more horizontal space for reading documents and multitasking.

Technical specifications include a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage, which is expandable via TF card. The phone is equipped with a 50MP main camera and a macro lens, supported by a 4,600mAh battery with 18W charging.

In China, the device is available for pre-order on JD.com with an official release date of November 8. Pricing tiers are set at 999 yuan for the 8GB+128GB model, 1,199 yuan for the 8GB+256GB model, and 1,399 yuan for the 12GB+256GB model. The phone comes in three colors: Glazed White, Rock Black, and Crimson Red.
