Cooper Webb and Haiden Deegan set for SMX World Championship Final

Cooper Webb and Cole Davies are both expected to compete in the 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship Final following recent events at Dignity Health Sports Park.

During the second 450SMX moto of the SMX Playoffs in Los Angeles, tension rose between Monster Energy Yamaha teammates Cooper Webb and Haiden Deegan. After recovering from a crash, Deegan made an aggressive move that knocked Webb down, allowing Deegan to secure third place.

Webb expressed significant frustration following the incident, stating, “I was pissed, I'm not gonna lie. It’s unfortunate. We are teammates, we are buddies, we are training partners. I am all for aggressive racing but, just, I think the lack of respect from the kid is the common problem.” Deegan addressed the collision, noting that while he did not intend to ride “dirty” to a teammate, he was focused on securing positions during the playoff rounds. Webb noted he has one remaining race with the current team.
