SuperMotocross Playoffs competition

Overview

The 2026 SuperMotocross Playoffs began with Haiden Deegan securing his first career 450SMX victory in Columbus, Ohio. Despite heavy rain and track conditions described as a ‘soupy mess’, Deegan won both motos at the opening round.

As the playoffs progressed to Los Angeles, tensions rose between Monster Energy Yamaha teammates Cooper Webb and Haiden Deegan. During the second 450SMX moto, Deegan made an aggressive move that knocked Webb down, allowing Deegan to take third place. Webb expressed frustration over the incident, stating, “I was pissed, I'm not gonna lie. It’s unfortunate. We are teammates, we are buddies, we are training partners. I am all for aggressive racing but, just, I think the lack of respect from the kid is the common problem.” Deegan maintained he was focused on securing positions. Both riders are expected to compete in the SMX World Championship Final.
