Cooperativa La Unión to host fourth annual children's grape harvest

The Cooperativa La Unión will host the fourth edition of the ‘Vendimia Infantil’ on Saturday, August 29, in Montilla. The event aims to introduce children and families to the culture of grape harvesting and the viticultural traditions of the Montilla-Moriles Denomination of Origin.

This year, Montemayor has been named the guest municipality. The program includes the weighing of grapes provided by participants, grape unloading in a specialized press, workshops, and a traditional ‘desayuno molinero’. A new feature for this edition allows older children to participate in the traditional grape treading.

Local officials emphasized that the initiative supports generational renewal by teaching younger populations about the economic and industrial importance of the wine sector.
