Copa Chenel 2026 bullfighting final set for July 30 in Madrid

The Copa Chenel 2026 bullfighting competition will conclude with its grand final on July 30 at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid. The finalists are Spanish toreros Alejandro Marcos and Manuel Diosleguarde, alongside Mexican bullfighter Héctor Gutiérrez, who earned the top public vote in the semifinals held in Alalpardo.

The final will feature six bulls from the Salamanca ranches El Capea and Carmen Lorenzo. Scores from the preceding semifinals – where Marcos placed second, Diosleguarde third and Gutiérrez led the public vote – determined the line‑up. Official ceremonies will include the presence of Madrid Community Environment, Agriculture and Interior Councillor Carlos Novillo, Plaza 1 president Rafael García Garrido, and breeder Pedro Gutiérrez Moya. Tickets are on sale for the free‑access event.

The competition, promoted as the Fiesta del Toro of the Community of Madrid, highlights the high level of performance and public interest in traditional bullfighting in Spain.
