Peru to host 2030 World Cup qualifiers in high‑altitude cities and secure exclusive TV rights

The Peruvian Football Federation confirmed that the national team will play its 2030 World Cup qualifying matches in three venues: Lima’s Estadio Nacional and Estadio Monumental, plus the high‑altitude stadiums in Cusco and Puno, situated above 3,300 m. The federation said the altitude could give Peru an advantage over visiting sides.

América Television acquired exclusive broadcasting rights for the qualifiers, as announced by its CEO Fernando Muñiz Bethancourt. The agreement also covers domestic competitions such as the women’s league, second division, and youth tournaments, ensuring nationwide coverage of Peru’s football across TV and digital platforms.
