Copacabana Beach hosts Brazilian and World Beach Volleyball Circuits

Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro recently hosted two weeks of high-level beach volleyball competitions. The events included the Brazilian Circuit from July 22 to 26, followed by the World Circuit from July 29 to August 2.

During the international tournament, strong winds caused damage to parts of the arena structure, forcing a one-day closure to the public. The event was reorganized through a partnership between Volleyball World, the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV), and VôleiRio. Renato D’Avila, president of the Rio de Janeiro federation, praised the rapid mobilization and the ability to expand the number of courts to accommodate the competition.
