Copel and telecom operators to regularize cabling in Apucarana and Faxinal

Copel and various telecommunications operators are launching a joint task force to regularize telecommunications cabling in the Vale do Ivaí region. The initiative aims to organize wiring and remove irregular structures to ensure safety and technical compliance.

Scheduled activities will take place in Apucarana on Wednesday (19) and in Faxinal on Thursday (20). In Apucarana, work will focus on Avenida Corifeu de Azevedo Marques and Rua Lapa, while in Faxinal, the focus will be Avenida Brasil. All service providers operating in these areas have been notified to participate.

During the operation, Copel teams will inspect utility poles to identify unused, misaligned, or non-compliant cables. Under regulations from Aneel and Anatel, the responsibility for the installation and maintenance of internet and telephone wires lies with the telecommunications companies, which must remove or fix any identified issues. Local authorities are supporting the efforts, and officials have advised residents to avoid parking in the work zones and to follow all safety signage.
