Coppa del Chianti begins reconnaissance for historic car race

The 43rd Coppa del Chianti has commenced with reconnaissance runs on the 8 km SR 122 Chiantigiana stretch in Tuscany. The event serves as the eighth and penultimate round of the Campionato Italiano Velocità Salita Auto Storiche (CIVSA).

Approximately 120 competitors participated in the two reconnaissance heats to prepare for the main race scheduled for Sunday, September 20. Notable performances during the practice sessions included Denny Zardo of Vimotorsport, who recorded the fastest time of the day with 3’39”70 in a Giada T118. Other competitors, including Piero Lottini and Salvatore Totò Riolo, are also positioned for key points in their respective categories.
