Cori approves 840,000 euro landslide prevention project

The municipality of Cori has launched a technical and economic feasibility project to secure areas prone to landslides and soil instability. The intervention focuses on areas near Via Giovanni Ricci and Via dei Chiavoni, which have experienced ongoing ground shifts and landslides.

The project, valued at 840,000 euros, is funded by the Italian Ministry of the Interior as part of national programs to reduce hydrogeological risk. Planned works include the construction of a reinforced concrete retaining wall on piles, the installation of gabions, and the revision of the sewage system for rainwater disposal. Additionally, the project involves widening sections of Via dei Chiavoni and resurfacing road segments that have been damaged by ground movement.
