Corigliano‑Rossano discotheque violence prompts seven DACUR bans

On the night of 26 July, violent clashes between two groups of youths occurred near a discotheque in the urban area of Corigliano‑Rossano, province of Cosenza, Italy. Police investigations by the Corigliano‑Rossano police station and the anti‑crime division identified seven individuals deemed responsible for endangering public safety.

The Cosenza Questore issued seven Divieto di Accesso alle Aree Urbane (DACUR) orders against residents of Corigliano‑Rossano and the nearby town of Crosia. Six of the bans last one year and one lasts two years, prohibiting the recipients from accessing or loitering in the areas surrounding the venue to prevent further incidents.
