Corigliano-Rossano discotheque violence

Overview

On 26 July 2026 a violent clash between two groups of youths erupted in the parking lot of the White Different Club discotheque in Corigliano‑Rossano, Cosenza province. The Cosenza Questore, Antonio Borelli, invoked article 100 of the Italian Public Security Code and ordered a seven‑day suspension of the venue’s licence to curb further danger to public order.

Following the incident, police investigations identified seven individuals deemed responsible for endangering public safety. The Questore issued seven Divieto di Accesso alle Aree Urbane (DACUR) orders – six lasting one year and one lasting two years – barring the recipients from accessing or loitering in the areas surrounding the discotheque and nearby Crosia, aiming to prevent a recurrence of violence.
