Corinthians reaches 10th consecutive Brasileirão Feminino final
Corinthians has advanced to its tenth consecutive final of the Brasileirão Feminino after defeating Bahia 1-0 in the second leg of the semifinals at Neo Química Arena. Having also won the first leg 1-0 in Salvador, the team secured its place in the final against São Paulo. The match at Neo Química Arena drew a significant crowd of 9,551 spectators, the largest for women's club football in 2026.
In preparation for the 2027 Women's World Cup, Brazil's national team coach Arthur Elias has called up 28 players for two friendly matches against Argentina in October. The matches will be held in Porto Alegre and Recife. Notably, Bahia goalkeeper Yanne has been included in the squad, alongside returning U-20 players Kayane, Clarinha, and Thaís Lima. Elias emphasized that selection criteria focused on club performance and potential impact for the upcoming World Cup.
