Corinthians presidential election sees five pre-candidates

Five pre-candidates have confirmed their intention to run for the presidency of Corinthians in the upcoming election scheduled for November 28 at Parque São Jorge. The candidates are Sérgio Janikian, André Negão, Rozallah Santoro, André Castro, and José Augusto Mendes.

The election follows a period of significant instability for the club, which saw the impeachment of president Augusto Melo in August 2025. This upcoming vote marks the third time the club will select a president in three years and represents the first direct vote by members since 2023.

Adding to the political tension, the São Paulo Public Ministry (MP-SP) is currently investigating the possibility of judicial intervention in the club due to the crisis left by the Melo administration. If a judicial interventor is appointed, the presidency would be determined by court decision rather than the scheduled November vote.
