Coris Bank International donates 100 million FCFA to support orphans in Burkina Faso

Coris Bank International has donated 100 million FCFA to support the ‘Pupilles de la Nation’ in Burkina Faso. This fund is intended for children who have lost parents serving in the defense and security forces. The contribution will be directed toward school canteens, university restaurants, and the provision of school kits to assist with the upcoming academic year.

In a separate initiative, Coris Assurance Vie donated 200 school kits to vulnerable students in the commune of Pô. This action was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts to alleviate the financial burden on parents during the school season.

Meanwhile, in Ouagadougou, booksellers report a slow start to the 2026-2027 school year, noting a lack of customer traffic in local bookstores despite having sufficient stock available.
