Coritiba defeats Vitória 2-0 in Campeonato Brasileiro

Coritiba ended a seven-match winless streak by defeating Vitória 2-0 at the Couto Pereira stadium during the 33rd round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The victory, which also marked Coritiba's first home win in 69 days, moves the team to 42 points, placing them 11th in the standings and six points clear of the relegation zone.

Goals were scored in the second half by Pedro Rocha, following a rebound from a Sebastián Gómez shot, and Tinga, who converted a cross from Tiago Cóser. The match was overseen by interim manager Guilherme Bossle following the dismissal of Fernando Seabra.

For Vitória, the loss extends a concerning trend of failing to win any away matches this season, leaving them with 38 points in 14th place. Following the match, Vitória coach Jair Ventura took responsibility for the defeat and called on supporters to assist the team in upcoming home matches.
