Cornwall Council announces roadworks and closures across multiple towns
Cornwall Council has confirmed several upcoming roadworks and traffic prohibitions across various locations in Cornwall.
In Launceston, resurfacing works will take place between August 17 and August 28. These works involve stopping prohibitions on Dutson Road, Newport Square, West Bridge Road, Roydon Road, and St Stephen’s Hill between 7pm and 6am. A temporary suspension of the one-way system on St Stephen’s Hill will also be implemented during this period, though pedestrian access to properties will be maintained.
Other scheduled works include:
• Hessenford: Church Hill will be closed from August 17 to September 21 to facilitate wall repairs. • Liskeard: Overnight closures on the A390 and Culverland Road are scheduled for early September between 9pm and 6am for gully clearing and joint box access. • St Day: Pink Moors will undergo a 24-hour closure from September 1 to September 7 for fire hydrant installation. • Camborne: Mitchell Lane will close for 24 hours on September 3 and 4 for defect repairs.
