Cornwall Council schedules multiple road closures for utilities work in July‑August
Cornwall Council has issued a series of public notices confirming road closures across the county to accommodate a range of utility works.
In North Cornwall, Windmill Hill and Newmills Hill in Launceston will be closed from 27–31 July for South West Water’s new water connections. Bishops Hill Road in Wadebridge is closed on 15 July for pole works. Sections of road near Tintagel (21–23 July) and Boscastle (21–24 July) are shut for ducting and ground‑investigation works, with sign‑posted diversions and pedestrian access maintained.
Further closures in South East Cornwall include Culver Road in Saltash (27 July – 10 August) for gas‑mains replacement, Pengover Road in Liskeard (27 July – 7 August) for cabling, and a short closure on Mine Hill near Menheniot on 28 July for a test post installation. Overnight works are scheduled on Penpill Road in Callington (27‑29 July) for drainage repairs and on a road in Carkeel (29‑30 July) for blockage clearing. All sites will retain pedestrian access and alternative routes will be sign‑posted.
