Corridonia junction roadworks to begin on SS77 Val di Chienti

Roadwork is scheduled to begin on September 14 at the Corridonia junction on the SS77 Val di Chienti superstrada. The project, announced by Anas, is expected to last approximately one month to address deteriorating pavement conditions.

The intervention will be carried out in two distinct phases. The first phase, lasting about two weeks, will involve closing the ramps in the direction of the sea. The second phase will last approximately three weeks and involve closing the ramps in the direction of the mountains, alongside work on the main stretch of the highway.

Corridonia Mayor Giuliana Giampaoli noted that while the works will cause inevitable disruptions, the repairs are necessary for this strategic provincial junction which handles heavy traffic flows. She also called for serious reflection on upgrading the infrastructure, describing it as increasingly central to the region but currently inadequate.
