Corrientes Municipality deploys new tractors following public auction

The Municipality of Corrientes has begun utilizing new machinery acquired through its first public auction in 25 years. Held on June 27 at the Santa Catalina Industrial Park, the auction included motorcycles, utility vehicles, trucks, and road machinery that had been decommissioned or were out of service.

The auction generated approximately 54 million pesos. These funds were used to purchase two new tractors for the Public Works and Public Services departments. One of the tractors is already operational and has been deployed for weeding and maintenance tasks in Santa Catalina and along provincial routes 5, 43, and 99.

According to municipal officials, this initiative aims to modernize the city's vehicle fleet, improve service delivery to residents, and implement more efficient asset management by converting unusable goods into functional equipment.
