Corumbá opens applications for cultural awards via Aldir Blanc Law
The City of Corumbá, through its Culture Foundation, has opened applications for the ‘Pontos e Pontões de Cultura’ awards under the Aldir Blanc National Law for Cultural Promotion (PNAB). The initiative aims to strengthen community-based culture and celebrate local diversity.
A total of R$ 195,000 will be allocated to reward 12 cultural initiatives. The funding structure includes three slots for legally constituted entities, each receiving R$ 20,000, and nine slots for informal groups or collectives, receiving R$ 15,000 each.
The selection process includes specific inclusion policies, reserving slots for Black, Indigenous, and people with disabilities. Additionally, at least 30% of the awarded entries must come from entities and collectives with proven ties to traditional and popular cultures. Eligible participants include certified ‘Pontos de Cultura’, non-profit civil society organizations, and informal community collectives with at least two years of local cultural activity.
