CosechArte fair showcases Boyacá traditions during FICC 2026

The CosechArte fair, part of the 2026 International Festival of Peasant Culture (FICC), is currently being held near the La Independencia stadium in Tunja, Boyacá. The event features 82 exhibitors from 39 municipalities showcasing gastronomy, crafts, emeralds, and local agricultural products.

Organizers aim to increase direct sales by 50% compared to 2025, when sales approached $1,000 million pesos. The gastronomic sector led previous sales, accounting for approximately 41.8% of the total. The fair includes activities such as the ‘Estrella Boyacá’ cooking competition, musical performances by groups like Bandola, and traditional workshops.

In addition to the main festivities in Tunja, the FICC supports the XIX Convite Cuna Carranguera in Tinjacá. This musical gathering celebrates peasant identity through carranguera music and traditional dance, involving various musical schools and regional groups.
