Cosenza authorities transfer irregular migrant to Bari repatriation center

The Cosenza Police Headquarters has ordered the detention of an irregularly present foreign citizen at the Bari Repatriation Center (CPR). The individual was identified through monitoring activities conducted by the Immigration Office within local correctional facilities.

The subject, who had recently been released from the Paola prison, has a significant criminal record. His previous offenses include rioting in repatriation centers, resisting public officials, receiving stolen goods, and the possession and manufacture of false documents. He is also accused of multiple aggravated thefts on public transportation.

Following an order from the Prefect for reasons of public security, the individual will remain at the Bari facility while bureaucratic procedures for his definitive repatriation are completed.
