Costa Branca receives R$ 72 million for gas and water infrastructure

The Costa Branca region in Rio Grande do Norte is undergoing infrastructure improvements through R$ 72 million in investments for gas and water supply projects. A major component is the Polo Gás Sal project by Companhia Potiguar de Gás (Potigás), which cost R$ 34.5 million.

The project involved installing 52 kilometers of pipelines between Mossoró and Areia Branca, providing a capacity of up to 40,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day. This infrastructure is intended to serve industries, commercial establishments, gas stations, and residential consumers, replacing the previous reliance on truck-transported LPG. The initiative aims to reduce logistical bottlenecks and support the local salt production economy by providing a more sustainable and efficient energy source.
