Costa Rica launches first housing and credit fair for middle class

Costa Rica has launched the first Housing, Bonus, and Credit Fair for the Middle Class, held at Multiplaza Curridabat. The event is designed to assist families looking to purchase, build, or renovate homes by providing direct access to financial institutions and government-backed housing subsidies.

The fair is organized into two phases: the first occurring from October 2 to 4, and a second phase from October 9 to 11. Participating organizations include the Banco de Vivienda y Hipotecas (BANHVI), Grupo Mutual, MUCAP, Coopenae, Coopemep, Banco Popular, and the Costa Rica Canada Foundation.

Available housing subsidy modalities include the 'Bono-crédito', where the state subsidy is applied to the total housing solution; 'Bono-prima', which uses the bonus for the required down payment; and 'Bono RAMT', aimed at repairing, expanding, or improving existing homes. Financial entities like Mucap are offering specific credit conditions in both colones and dollars to facilitate these transactions.
