Costa Rican Fire Department hosts emergency prevention event

To celebrate its 161st anniversary, the Benemérito Cuerpo de Bomberos de Costa Rica held an emergency prevention event at Parque Diversiones in San José. The “Bomberos de Corazón” initiative provided families with interactive experiences designed to teach safety protocols.

Participants engaged in simulations such as the “Casa de Temblor” to learn earthquake responses, a “Casa de Humo” to practice fire evacuation, and forest-themed activities focused on wildfire prevention. The event also featured a mobile fire station, equipment demonstrations, and guidance on creating family emergency plans.
