A 22-year-old man from Botoșani, identified as Sebastian Florin Isaincu, drowned while on vacation in Costinești. His body was brought to shore by currents on Saturday evening.

According to local lifeguards, the young man chose to swim in the French Gulf area, an unsupervised beach. Preliminary investigations by the Constanța County Police Department (IPJ Constanța) found no visible signs of violence on the body.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the incident under the aspect of manslaughter. Forensic doctors will determine the exact cause of death following an autopsy.
