Costinești: Missing man found after Black Sea search

A 52-year-old man who disappeared in the Black Sea near Costinești, Romania, has been found after an extensive search operation lasting nearly 24 hours. The man, who had traveled from Covasna with family and friends, went missing on Tuesday, September 1, near the Albert Terrace area close to the safety buoys.

The search operation involved significant resources, including 15 divers from ISU Dobrogea, lifeguards, specialized vehicles, a boat, and a SMURD helicopter. Initial search efforts were hampered by low underwater visibility, which was reported to be less than two meters.

Authorities recovered the individual on Wednesday, September 2. While the man has been found, official reports regarding his medical condition have not yet been released.
