Coto Carcedo and Sagunt roll out new parking and traffic schemes

In the Asturian neighborhood of Coto Carcedo, municipal works have created a one‑way circuit on Prado del Marqués and Torre de Enol streets, adding dozens of parking spaces. Residents welcome the extra spots but criticize the circuit as “unintuitive”, cite missing loading‑unloading areas, inadequate accessibility for disabled users, and poor signage that forces awkward maneuvers.

Meanwhile, the council of Sagunt (Valencia) approved a plan to upgrade an unpaved parking area beside the seaside promenade during the peak summer season. The proposal, supported unanimously, calls for drainage work, painted parking lines and other safety improvements while rejecting asphalt or concrete surfacing to preserve vegetation. Councilors also dismissed a motion to create a caravan‑parking zone, and some urged better public transport to the beach instead of expanding car spaces.
