Spanish municipal traffic and parking projects

In early July, two Spanish towns introduced local traffic‑management measures. In Coto Carcedo, a one‑way circuit was installed on Prado del Marqués and Torre de Enol streets, creating additional parking spaces but drawing criticism for poor signage, lack of loading zones and limited accessibility for disabled users. At the same time, Sagunt approved upgrades to an unpaved beachfront parking area, adding drainage and painted lines while preserving vegetation and rejecting a caravan‑parking zone.

Later in July, Salou’s mayor accelerated another set of infrastructure works, seeking to complete the final sections of the coastal Camí de Costa walk and to build two new roundabouts on the C‑31B road. These projects are presented as safety, drainage and tourism improvements and involve coordination with regional mobility authorities and the national sub‑delegate. Across these municipalities, local governments are pursuing a mix of traffic‑flow redesigns, parking expansions and pedestrian‑friendly developments, often balancing resident concerns with broader environmental and tourism objectives.
