Celta Vigo nears deal for PSV winger Couhaib Driouech

Celta Vigo has reached a verbal agreement with PSV Eindhoven to sign Moroccan winger Couhaib Driouech. The transfer fee is reported to be between €7 million and €8 million.

Driouech, 24, was previously on the verge of joining the Scottish club Rangers. However, that deal collapsed after Rangers medical staff expressed concerns regarding a muscle injury that could impact his immediate availability. While Rangers opted to withdraw due to the potential recovery time, PSV and Celta Vigo maintain that the injury is minor.

The winger has already been left out of PSV's squad for their match against FC Groningen to facilitate the move. Celta Vigo is expected to finalize the deal with a long-term contract, potentially lasting at least four seasons, pending a medical examination and personal terms agreement.
