Couria donates 50 million yen to Kumamoto for earthquake relief

Couria, an Osaka-based company specializing in character goods and stationery, has donated 50 million yen to Kumamoto Prefecture to support recovery efforts following the Kumamoto earthquake. The donation represents the total sales from a special collaboration featuring the popular character Kumamon on ‘Bonbon Drop Seals’.

Pre-orders for the 100,000 seals were released on August 21 and sold out immediately. On September 8, Couria President Masao Koromogawa met with Kumamoto Governor Takashi Kimura to officially present the donation. The seals, which are highly popular among both children and adults, are scheduled to be delivered to customers between January and February 2027.
