Court overturns ruling against Rotterdam councilor Kevin van Eikeren

The Hague Court of Appeal has overturned a previous judicial ruling in an expedited procedure involving Rotterdam councilor Kevin van Eikeren of the PRO party. The court determined that Van Eikeren is not required to retract his statements regarding entrepreneur Wim Beelen.

As a result of the decision, Van Eikeren is not obligated to pay legal costs or issue a rectification. The dispute arose from comments made by the councilor concerning Beelen, which included insults and insinuations regarding political bribery and business dealings.
