Court reviews Uherské Hradiště election results following ANO challenge
The Regional Court in Brno is examining the municipal election results in Uherské Hradiště after the ANO movement challenged the outcome. Denisa Mišurcová, an unsuccessful ANO candidate, cited suspicions of counting errors and statistical anomalies as the basis for the legal challenge.
One specific anomaly noted involves electoral district number 13, where the average number of votes per ballot was reportedly 19.36, compared to a city-wide average of approximately 24.48. If the court orders a recount and ANO gains 481 votes, the distribution of mandates could shift from 8:5 to 7:6 between the Hradišťáci movement and ANO.
Despite the legal proceedings, Michal Dvouletý, leader of the Hradišťáci, stated that the challenge would not affect the already signed coalition agreement with ANO and ODS, though it might delay the inaugural assembly of the local council.
