Uherské Hradiště municipal election dispute

The ANO movement filed a formal complaint regarding the municipal election process in Uherské Hradiště, requesting a recount of votes in three specific electoral districts. Party representative Jana Grygarová cited suspicions that certain ballots were not counted in district 13, errors were made by a commission member in district 6, and a successful candidate received no votes in district 1 despite widespread party support.

The Regional Court in Brno is currently reviewing the results following the challenge. Unsuccessful ANO candidate Denisa Mišurcová pointed to statistical anomalies, noting that the average number of votes per ballot in district 13 was 19.36, compared to a city-wide average of approximately 24.48. If a recount results in ANO gaining 481 votes, the distribution of mandates could shift from 8:5 to 7:6 between the Hradišťáci movement and ANO.

Local leader Michal Dvouletý stated that while the legal proceedings might delay the inaugural assembly of the local council, the challenge is not expected to affect the already signed coalition agreement between Hradišťáci, ANO, and the Civic Democrats.
