CPC Corporation Taiwan maintains fuel prices amid rising global oil costs

CPC Corporation Taiwan announced that gasoline and diesel prices will remain unchanged from Monday, October 26, through November 1. Despite rising international oil prices driven by attacks on energy facilities in Saudi Arabia and a three-week decline in U.S. commercial crude oil inventories, domestic prices will stay at current levels.

To stabilize living costs and maintain regional price competitiveness, the government has expanded excise tax reductions. Additionally, CPC Corporation is absorbing significant costs—7.5 TWD for gasoline and 9.3 TWD for diesel—as part of a price stabilization mechanism. In total, the company is absorbing 11.2 TWD per liter for gasoline and 11.4 TWD per liter for diesel.

Since February 28, these stabilization measures have resulted in a total absorption of approximately 30.37 billion TWD. The company stated it will continue to monitor international political and economic developments alongside market supply and demand.
