CPG brands leverage social media for digital go-to-market success

A recent Forrester research report, ‘Digital Go-To-Market Review: CPG Brands, 2026’, analyzes how consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands utilize digital attributes for long-term success. The study highlights social media as a vital component of the consumer discovery process, noting that younger demographics increasingly use social platforms for product research and direct purchasing.

Among the top-performing brands analyzed, Pepsi led the category with over one million followers across all major social platforms. Coca-Cola utilized high-profile campaigns and sponsorships, such as those tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to engage its audience. Hello distinguished itself by being the only brand in the review to maintain official storefronts on both Instagram and TikTok, embracing social commerce. Additionally, Pringles maintained a strong presence on Instagram and TikTok, while Poppi leveraged influencer partnerships and collaborations with franchises like Love Island to build consumer enthusiasm.
