CPI condemns DMK MLA's personal attacks on Tamil Nadu chief minister

The Communist Party of India (CPI) in Tamil Nadu condemned remarks made by DMK MLA Anita R Radhakrishnan that allegedly disparaged Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s personal life. CPI state secretary M Veerapandian said such attacks cross the limits of political decency, amount to a legal violation and urged the government to take action. He also criticised Public Works and Sports Development Minister Aadhav Arjuna for comments on the Karur incident, describing them as “unacceptable” and not befitting a ministerial office. The CPI called on all political leaders to uphold civility and maintain high standards of democratic culture, while warning police against the forced arrest of a sitting MLA.
