CPK central airport project advances with new construction contracts
Construction progress continues for Poland’s Central Communication Port (CPK) project. Budimex has completed a stage of test piling for the passenger terminal, with 94 piles currently undergoing load testing to verify design solutions. The full foundation phase will eventually involve over 8,000 piles and columns, with total reinforcement lengths exceeding 140 km.
Additionally, Port Polska has awarded Budimex a contract worth 70.9 million PLN net to renew the airport’s drainage system. This work, scheduled from January 2027 to August 2028, includes constructing six kilometers of new drainage ditches and a 160,000 cubic meter dry retention basin to protect the site from flooding. The CPK project is currently slated for a 2032 launch.
