Córdoba and Ibarra Offer Free Business Training Programs for Local Entrepreneurs

The Municipality of Córdoba launched a free two‑session entrepreneurship cycle on 21 and 28 July, aimed at small‑business owners seeking to professionalise management, define a unique value proposition and improve profitability. Sessions at the Club de Emprendedores covered topics such as delegating, OKR methodology, pricing strategies and brand positioning, and were taught by local business mentors.

In Ibarra, the municipal economic development unit concluded its “Program of Business Models and Plans,” providing dozens of entrepreneurs with training, technical assistance and certification. The program partnered with students from the Technical University of the North and the Technical University of Loja, who offered individual advisory on market analysis, financial projections and commercial strategies. An exhibition showcased the participants’ projects and highlighted the collaborative effort between the municipality and academia.

Both initiatives aim to strengthen local SMEs by delivering practical tools and mentorship at no cost, fostering sustainable growth and market differentiation.
