Córdoba authorities seize 300kg of meat during inspections

The Ministry of Bioagroindustry of Córdoba conducted inspection operations in the departments of San Justo and Ischilín, specifically in the towns of Alicia and Quilino. These operations targeted access routes and commercial establishments to verify the traceability and origin of meat products and subproducts, as well as the documentation required for the movement of live livestock.

During the inspections, authorities identified various regulatory infractions, primarily involving missing documentation and inadequate hygienic-sanitary conditions for food transport. Specifically, inspectors checked for the Electronic Transit Certificate (CTE) and the Unique Transit Document (DT-U).

As a result of these findings, officials seized 300 kilograms of meat products. The seizure was prompted by the lack of documentation to prove the products' origin and failures in transport, storage, and preservation conditions, which compromised food safety. The operations involved technicians from the General Directorate of Inspection and Control, the Córdoba Police Rural Patrol, and municipal personnel.
