Córdoba authorities seize potentially harmful toys

Consumer protection authorities in Córdoba, Argentina, have seized children's toys known as ‘Squeezy Dumpling’ or ‘Squishies’ from various retail locations. The preventive measure was taken after inspections revealed the products may contain high levels of benzene, a known carcinogen.

In addition to health concerns, the toys lacked proper labeling in the national language and failed to provide technical information regarding materials or composition. The products also lacked required safety certifications and import traceability. Authorities have prohibited the sale of these items and are urging suppliers to voluntarily withdraw any products that do not meet legal labeling and safety standards.
