Córdoba hosts 39th Plurinational Meeting of Women and Diversities

The 39th Plurinational Meeting of Women, Lesbians, Trans, Travestis, Bisexuals, Intersex, and Non-Binary people is taking place in Córdoba, Argentina, from October 10 to October 12. The event expects massive participation from various provinces and features nearly 100 workshops across 13 thematic axes.

Organizers stated the gathering occurs in a “context of attack” regarding various rights, criticizing the stance of President Javier Milei and the far right. The program includes ancestral ceremonies, cultural activities, and several major marches, including a demonstration against trans-related violence on Saturday and a closing march on Sunday.

Due to the large scale of the event, the Municipality of Córdoba has implemented significant traffic disruptions and road closures in the Centro, Alberdi, and Nueva Córdoba neighborhoods. Major thoroughfares such as Arturo M. Bas, Hipólito Yrigoyen, and General Paz will experience various levels of closures and detours throughout the weekend to accommodate marches and stage assembly.
