Córdoba municipality removes 800 tons of waste and announces widespread street closures

The Municipal Health Risk Unit in Córdoba carried out a record‑breaking operation to clear an abandoned house in the Alberdi neighbourhood. Over a month of work, crews removed about 805 tons of mixed waste – roughly the weight of 47 city buses – from a 345 m² property, filling 40 trucks and incurring an estimated cost of 65 million pesos, which will be charged to the property owner along with fines.

Separately, the municipality issued a schedule of road works for Thursday, 18 June, that will involve total closures of numerous streets across several neighbourhoods and require extensive detours for the urban bus network. More than 30 bus lines will be rerouted, with alternative itineraries posted in the Tu Bondi app, affecting commuters throughout the city.
