Córdoba political leaders discuss 2027 election alliances

Political figures in Córdoba are outlining strategies for the 2027 provincial elections. Agustín Spaccesi, a provincial legislator representing the Libertarian Party, has distanced himself from La Libertad Avanza (LLA) while maintaining support for the national administration. Spaccesi is advocating for the creation of a broad opposition front to challenge Peronism, emphasizing that various sectors should first establish a dialogue table before discussing specific candidates.

Simultaneously, Gregorio Hernández Maqueda, the 34-year-old gubernatorial candidate for the Democratic Party, is also positioning himself within the opposition landscape. Maqueda, a constitutional law professor and legislator, indicated that the coming months will involve negotiations to determine whether opposition forces will run together or separately to face Martín Llaryora. He criticized the current political situation in the province, specifically addressing issues of poverty and unemployment.
