Córdoba reservoirs reach 76.29% capacity, exceeding decadal average

Reservoirs in the province of Córdoba have reached 76.29% capacity as of early September, significantly exceeding the decadal average of 32.6%. According to data from the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation (CHG), the province currently holds 2,533.04 cubic hectometers out of a total capacity of 3,320.31 cubic hectometers.

This represents a 66% increase in water volume compared to the same date in 2025, when levels were at 45.78%. Despite the favorable hydrological year, recent trends show a slight decline due to high summer demand for urban supply and agricultural irrigation. Between August 24 and August 31, water levels decreased by 28 cubic hectometers, a drop of 0.83% from the previous week.
